Grit - America's Rural Lifestyle Magazine for 125 Years - A small farming magazine aimed at country and small town living. Many topics covered with regard to livestock and gardening, cooking and the rural lifestyle. On the web site, they also sell 10 downloadable books on livestock issues as well as books on a variety of subjects. I have found some great articles in this magazine. I appreciate this quote from the Grit History page: As founder Dietrick Lamade said, in one of his notes to his sons, “Wherever possible, suggest peace and good will toward men. Give our readers courage and strength for their daily tasks. … By such a course, we can do much to improve the minds and lives of the millions of people who read Grit, and bring them a higher realization of their duties in life.”
Home Power Magazine - This well respected magazine, in print since 1987, covers both design and build topics ranging over solar, wind and hydro sources of power. There are a significant number of articles and resources right on the site.
